American military personnel, injured by insurgent activity in Iraq, re-adjust to life back home: Specialist Robert Acosta (20), an ammunitions specialist with the 1st Battalion, 501st Regiment, 1st Armored Divsion. Acosta was a humvee passenger outside Baghdad on 13 July 2003 when an Iraqi teenager threw a grenade at the vehicle. Acosta tried to pick it up when it exploded, mangling his left leg and ripping off his right arm.
