Kings without kingdom. Princess Ileana of Romania, who became known as Mother Alexandra after she entered an Orthodox Monastery in France, in 1961. Later, she moved back to the United States, where she had gone after she had been exiled, and founded the Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. She served as abbess until her retirement in 1981, remaining at the monastery until her death in 1991.
