Wildebeest cross the river. Each year, wildebeest migrate from the south Serengeti in Tanzania to Masai Mara in Kenya, in search of fresh grazing grounds. Along the way they are an easy target for predators. Some 1.5 million animals made the journey in 1999, in the biggest migration for 25 years.
