Israeli police drag a settler away. Jewish settlers clash with Israeli police in the evacuation of an outpost of the Amona settlement. The police had been ordered to tear down nine houses built without permission. The order was part of a tougher stand on settler issues taken by Israeli acting prime minister, Ehud Olmert. About 5,000 protesters joined the settlers in their opposition. After settlers have been forcibly removed, bulldozers moved in to dismantle the homes.
