Dylan makes fun of his sisters while they wait for their grandmother to pick them up in the afternoon, while their mother is at work. The children are supposed to fold the laundry and clean the house while they wait. Diana Jarron is a single mother with seven children, four of whom live with her. Diana supports her family by working in a convenience store at a nearby gas station.
