Russian choreographer Igor Moiseyev is embraced by his wife shortly after his 101st birthday. A year previously, at his 100th birthday, he received a personal visit from president Vladimir Putin. Moiseyev was known for his experimental fusion of folk dance and ballet, and from 1937 headed a dance company that received accolades both at home and in the West. He died on 2 November 2007.
