The framed image is the photographer's grandfather, a partisan in the Second World War who fought Nazi collaborators. Fifty years later, when the shelling of Gorazde began, he committed suicide. The photographer's grandmother remains at the family home. The city of Gorazde was encircled by Serb military forces for three years. Since then, the photographer has observed the war's impact on his family, and others who came to the city for safety.
