After 20-odd years of cherishing his dream of cloaking the Berlin Reichstag in silver fabric, Bulgarian artist Christo made it come true. Spending millions of his own money, he and his wife Jeanne directed a team of more than 200, who took seven days to cover the monumental neo-Renaissance building in 100,000 square meters of draperies.
