The worst car bomb attack ever to hit Argentina claimed 28 lives and injured almost 200. A Ford pickup truck loaded with 130 pounds of explosives blew up outside the Israeli embassy, which was being renovated at the time. Responsibility for the assault was claimed by the pro-Iranian Islamic Jihad movement. They issued a statement saying it was 'a gift' to the family of former Hizbullah leader Sheik Abbas Musawi, who was killed by Israeli commandos in Lebanon in February. Abu Yasser, who placed the bomb, was among the casualties.
