William Schroeder pays a visit to the hospital cafetaria, accompanied by Dr. Peter Heimes. Dr. Heimes invented the Heimes portable driver (carried on his shoulder) which powers Schroeder's artifical heart. After Schroeder's implantation operation at the Humana Heart Centre, the device is tested for the first time on a human.
