Markéta Kinterová

Markéta Kinterová is an artist using photography as a tool for conceptual art. In her work, she combines a photographic approach with a conceptual one, in the format of site-specific interventions.

She participated in several exhibitions and events, among them Work Hard Play Hard in Minsk, Belarus, in 2019; Festival Otets Paisy Street in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in 2013; and Scenario Strategies in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2007. She attended artist residencies at Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City, Mexico, in 2008; and Rotor Association for Contemporary Art in Graz, Austria, in 2006.

She is a co-founder and director of the Prague-based Fotograf 07 association, a non profit organization running Fotograf Gallery, Fotograf Festival and Fotograf Magazine, which she is the editor-in-chief of.

Kinterová is the head of Studio of Documentary Photography, Department of photography, at the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic.
