Tatiana Ilina was born in Russia, and lives and works in Moscow. She took up photography aged 20, after a longstanding interest in cinema, especially the French New Wave. She has studied at various photography schools, including The Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia, and holds an MA in journalism form the Independent University of Ecology and Politology in Moscow. Ilina’s work has been exhibited in Russia, Finland, and the US, and she won the Baltic Biennale of Photography award in 2011.
