Giorgia Fiorio is an independent artist, photographer and essayist from Turin, Italy.
Fiorio is the founder of the Reflexions Masterclass international seminar of contemporary photography, and served as its artistic director from 2002 to 2013. In 2009, Giorgia Fiorio’s book and exhibition The Gift, a project comprising humanistic research around “the relation between the individual and the Sacred and Humanity’s Spiritual Heritage”, was granted the UNESCO Patronage.
Her works have been published in fifteen different countries all over the world and exhibited in most of the major centres for contemporary art. Over the course of twenty-three years, Fiorio’s vision develops from a black and white social documentary tradition to the interrogation of the human figure.
