Motaz Azaiza (b. 1999, Gaza) is an award-winning Palestinian photojournalist. His images have garnered global recognition, with millions of followers across his social media platforms. As an active photojournalist during the latest phase of the conflict in Gaza, Motaz's photos have shed light on the hardships endured by Palestinians.
Azaiza has become a beacon of hope and resilience for many in Palestine and around the world, using his experiences to shed light on the hardships endured by Palestinians during the years-long blockade of Gaza, and more recently amidst the war.
Motaz's impact transcends borders and has earned him accolades such as the GQ Magazine Middle East Man of the Year Award. In 2023, one of his photos secured a spot in TIME's Top 10 Photos. Azaiza further received the Communicator Award at the TRT World Citizen Awards 2023, and was honored as the 2023 Impact Awards Winner at the Lucie Awards.
