Mark Peterson is a photographer based in New York City, USA.
Peterson’s work has been published in The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Time Magazine and many other international magazine.
His awards include the W. Eugene Smith grant in 2018 for his photographs of White Nationalism, and a first place in the Feature Picture Story category of the Pictures of the Year International (POYI). Peterson’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions including his pictures of lowriders shown in ‘Museums Are Worlds, at the Louvre, France in 2012.
Peterson has published two books: Acts Of Charity (Powerhouse 2004) and Political Theatre (Steidl Verlag 2016).
