Hans-Olav Forsang (Ankenes, Norway, 1955) studied photography in England and Sweden and worked for many years as a full-time photographer, and later as picture editor, for Verdens Gang, an Oslo-based newspaper, which frequently sent him on international assignments. Forsang has received a number of awards for his work, a selection of which was published in book form in 1997.
