The winners of this year’s four headline awards were announced during the Awards Show, the opening of our event. During the Awards Show, we spotlighted the 2021 World Press Photo Contests category winners and announced the winners of the World Press Photo of the Year, the World Press Photo Story of the Year, the World Press Photo Interactive of the Year and the World Press Photo Online Video of the Year.
World Press Photo Foundation’s executive director Joumana El Zein Khoury gave a word of welcome, and our patron Prins Constantijn of the Netherlands closed the ceremony.
