Danish photographer Erik Parbst (born in 1928) started his photographic career as a freelance photographer for Pressehuset. Between 1959 and 1980, Parbst worked as a photographer for the Copenhagen Zoo. In 1981, he joined Danmarks Radio (TV News) as a photographer where he stayed until 1996. Erik Parbst has written and illustrated several books about animals.
