Cynthia Karam is a senior picture editor for Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and North West Africa at Reuters.
Based in Beirut, she joined Reuters in 2008, where she has overseen the coverage of some of the most significant stories and conflicts in recent history. In her role, she manages a dynamic and complex region, navigating a challenging news agenda with a diverse team of both staff and freelance photographers.
She has participated in portfolio reviews for photography events such as Visa Pour l’Image in Perpignan and the World Press Photo Contest Winners Program in Amsterdam.
