A dog is having a pee, while an elephant is having a drink, during a visit of the Ringling Brothers Circus to Toronto.
The photographer's newspaper, The Globe and Mail, did not run the photo at the time, as it was considered to be offending to its readers. When Boris Spremo won first prize in the features category of the 1965 World Press Photo contest, The Globe and Mail ran a nice story but again the photo was not published. The wire agencies, however, picked up the news and the image was published in other newspapers worldwide.
