Bedrich Kocek (1924) started out as a self-taught photographer. In 1956, he began to work for the famous Barrandov Film Studios in Prague, while at the same time he joined the Czech magazine Sveta v obrazech (Pictures of the World) as a photojournalist and laboratory technician.
