Alisa Martynova is a Russian photographer who lives and works in Florence, Italy.
After finishing her studies in foreign philology in Russia, she graduated with a photography degree from the Fondazione Studio Marangoni in Florence, Italy, in 2019. During her studies, Martynova was an assistant for the photography collective Riverboom.
In 2019, she was awarded in the photography category of the Premio Combat Prize and was the second prize winner of the Premio Canon Giovani Fotografi. Her work was projected at the opening night of Les Rencontres d’Arles, and she was shortlisted among the finalists of the 2019 Photolux Award and the 2019 PHmuseum Women Photographers Grant.
In 2020, Martynova won the Zine Tonic book Award and was nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award. In 2021 her work will be exhibited during festivals including PhotoBrussels Festival 05, Giovane Fotografia Italiana, and Planches Contact.
Her work has been published by magazines including Internazionale and Leica Fotografie International.
Martynova works as a freelance photographer and is currently a member of the photography agency Parallelozero.
