World Press Photo Foundation seeks a Translation Manager to oversee the version control of translations during the production process. Based on the annual Photo Contest, World Press Photo produces a yearbook and exhibition, with texts in six languages (Dutch, English, French, Italian, German and Spanish). Working alongside the Curatorial Affairs team and in collaboration with external translators, the manager will be responsible for ensuring high-quality translations across languages and making sure that any changes to English text are reflected across all translations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing proofreading and translation processes in six languages
- Monitor any changes to text and update all translations accordingly
- Close collaboration with World Press Photo production team, external translators and yearbook publisher
- Organize workflow of version control

This is a freelance role running for 3 weeks full-time.
Start date: approximately mid-March to mid-April 2025.
We anticipate 2-3 preparatory meetings in advance, starting in November 2024, (approximately 8-16 hours).
