Wang Jingchun was born in Xi'an, China in 1969. He began his award-winning career working as a photographer and photo editor at the Southern Metropolis Daily and Southern Weekend after graduating from Wuhan University. Currently, Wang is a member of the editorial board and the head of visual center for the Southern Metropolis Daily, one of China's leading daily newspapers. Wang directs a team that creates a variety of visual products, such as images, newspaper layouts and multimedia, which play a central role in today's leading Chinese newspapers.
